Jazz Around Town: The next 7 days of live jazz in Rochester, NY
Jazz Around Town: And now back to your regularly scheduled jazz listings....

Jazz Around Town: Better late than never .... now to go listen to some Bird before consuming bird

Savoy labelSo, I'm lying there in bed, slowly slipping into unconsciouness, and it hit me ... it was Wednesday! Sh*t, I didn't write the listings post! For some reason it felt like a Friday. Did I jump up and run out to the computer to punch out the listings?  Nope. I turned over and went to sleep.  Fact is, today is Thanksgiving.  People will be stuffing their faces and watching football, not going out to listen to live jazz. Nothing much on the horizon today, so I was right.

I would check with venues for anything listed Friday and the weekend to make sure that the venue is open and a gig is actually happening (yes, Virginia, both venues and musicians have been known to forget to take down gigs from their websites and other online gig listings).

Well, on with spending some time with Charlie Parker and then turkey later. Have a happy holiday! Here are the listings I could find for live jazz over the next seven days:
