After the Grace Kelly gig, I dropped into Benedettos on Alexander in the city. The Bob Sneider Trio with Bob Sneider, Dan Vitale and Mike Melito later turned into a jam session, much like Bob's sessions at the jazz festival with a rotation of Eastman jazz students and other young players siting in (although no Jonas Kulhammar or, alas Grace Kelly (she and her band probably have a long drive back to NYC tonight ir tomorrow am i expect). Although they are clearly still learning, I'm always amazed at the quality of the students' playing.
Benedettos is trying out jazz at 10pm Friday-Saturday. Will need your support to keep it going, so check it out. Need more live jazz in the city....
