Looking for jazz in NY's capital city . . . .?
November 21, 2006
Based on the site albanyjazz.com, our state's capital and its nearby environs in and around the Adirondacks have an active jazz scene. Although I ran across this site awhile ago, it gained new significance while traveling recently through Albany, Saratoga Springs, and the Adirondacks. The site is chock full of gig and CD reviews, photos, listings and other features. With the 30,000+ hits it claims, they clearly are tapping into the jazz community surrounding the Capital District. I hope to have a chance to visit Albany sometime and catch some music there. I'll use the albanyjazz.com site as a resource when I do.
