Hi, Greg! Well, we passed each other without finding each other! I was at Benny Golson; I just love that kind of music--so romantic and listening to his stories, well, I know I should have been living then. I'm not really a big fan of the newest "free" jazz. As a matter of fact, I'm not a fan of that at all. It all begins to either sound the same to me or sound like a cacophony of noise. So, to hear Benny Golson talk about his high school friend John Coltrane and then play one of his songs . . . well that was so cool. I'm going to see Eldar tonight with my son. All of my friend's musician buddies (especially the pianists) say this guy is killer. So, we shall see. Hope to see you somewhere. I'll email you my cell number; maybe we'll be able to connect that way. Have a great day.
