Closing out 2008 on a sad note, as many of you know already the great jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard died over the weekend of complications from a heart attack. NY jazz writer and historian Marc Myers has a thoughtful profile on Hubbard on his blog Jazz Wax. Another great artist to join those jazz sessions that must be going on up there. Out...way out....
