Finally back home from my trip to Kansas and Chicago, just in time to bring you another set of listings for the next seven days. One BIG regret is that I didn't get to hear any jazz while in Chicago, including a chance to see Katie Ernst play at an old haunt of mine near the University of Chicago (was at an open mike with my singer-songwriter-neonatologist friend, Rich).
