Jazz Around Town: Jazz in the Fringes and beyond...

Jazz at the Rochester Fringe FestivalThe First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival (now the bookend festival of the Rochester festival season?) begins its run through Sunday tonight. I'll try to get all the jazz and jazz.  Let me know if I miss anything because I haven't seen the listing (or it's "beyond the Fringe").

According to WXXI, Wynton Marsalis and Rochester's Garth Fagan are teaming up again and Marsalis is in town this week to rehearse the new composition he has written for Lighthouse Lightning Rod, a new dance by Fagan.  The music will be performed by his septet.  Now if he or the band were going to sit in anywhere, where would that be . . . .?  Here are the listings of live jazz in and around Rochester for the next seven days, perhaps you can figure it out....
