This Jazz Around Town post marks the 1,000th post I've done on Jazz@Rochester since September 2006 (actually hit 1,000 awhile ago as I did quite a few on a former site on the now defunct Blogsome platform in 2005).
This blog has become so much more than I thought it would (but so much less than I know it could be). It's a labor of love of the music and the live jazz scene here in Rochester. There will be some changes coming in the next year that I aim to write about pretty soon. For now, check out the live jazz in town over the next seven days....

Since WXXI is looking for cash, I'll make my own appeal (but not for your hard earned dollahs). For those of you who are readers, I'd appreciate it if you'd let your friends who love live jazz know about this here little blog.
