I was saddened hearing that Marian McPartland had passed away at 95 yesterday.  In addition to sometimes calling Rochester her second hometown, McPartland's Piano Jazz radio show on National Public Radio was one place that I was introduced to the music, the love of which drives what I do here.  Rest well, Miss McPartland....
