Like I wrote last week, the jazz around ROC doesn't stop when the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival comes to town, but it does get harder to hear it over the noise generated about the festival. Remember to check the listed gigs before you go as things jazz in Rochester always get a little hinky around this time of year.  Finally, the below WILL NOT reflect the music going on around the festival. You can check that out by checking out my "picks" posts below (and linked to under the XRIJF logo), the XRIJF website, and all the other traditional media outlets who are now kicking their festival coverage into high gear. If you want to see some of the folks below at the festival, check out whether they're playing on yesterday's post on local artists playing the Fest.  So, if you're coming the XRIJF this year, I'll see you on "Jazz Street."
