All the picks posts for the 2014 XRIJF in one place....
We now return you to your regular programming ... live jazz in ROC

As the XRIJF wraps up, there's still live jazz elsewhere in Rochester . . .

me, thumbs up

There are still a few days left of Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival but that doesn't mean you cannot find jazz elsewhere around town. Remember to check the listed gigs before you go as things jazz in Rochester always get a little hinky around this time of year.  Finally, the below WILL NOT reflect the music going on at the jazz fest. You can check that out by checking out my "picks" posts below (links to each can be found in the post at the top of this page), the XRIJF website, and all the other traditional media outlets like the D&C and City. If you want to see some of the local folks below at the festival, check out whether they're playing on this post on local artists playing the Fest.

Heads Up ... Look for these Jazz Gigs and Special Jazz Events in the Future

  • I'll add something here after the festival. Let me know if you know of anything coming up.

We've compiled these listings from information obtained from the performing artists themselves and other sources. The aim is to give you a one-stop place to find all your jazz in Rochester. Only start times are listed, visit or call the venue for more details (the websites for many of the venues are in the right panel). Please forgive any discrepancies with reality. Feel free to let me know what the problem is, and I'll get the corrections up on the site as soon as possible (click on the "Contact Us" button above). If you go out to hear a performance listed here, feel free to drop a comment to this post to let us know how it went. I want to hear from you!
