Every year it sneaks up on me and then I get the "media alert" setting the time. And it is here again.... Yesterday morning at Hatch Hall in the Eastman School of Music, the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival announced its lineup for this year's festival, which will take place June 19-27. As usual it is a great smorgasbord of music, with a lot of new sounds that I'm looking forward to tasting during those 9 days in June.

There are new venues and some other changes, plus the last of the headliners, Steve Gadd with a special guest (do you think it might be Chuck?). As the media is all over this, I would check out the XRIJF's site and the D&C's Jeff Spevak's coverage of the presser(with a video of Music Director John Nugent's announcement of the lineup).
