Hear that? Or this? Or something else at the 2015 XRIJF
How about some lunchtime jazz? Our 2015 XRIJF jazz starts here (at the Central LIbrary)

As we slide toward nine days of jazz in June (Live jazz in ROC, June 11-17)

FairportTryptich1The music was great at Fairport Canal Days over the weekend, with great weather on Sunday, and the great trio to the right of Bill Dobbins, Frank Pullara and Mike Melito. Lots of great sounds all around....

XRIJF has announced that a shuttle service will be offered all nine days during the festival free of charge, courtesy of Harris Beach PLLC. The trolley will run continuously stopping at select festival venues. You can see the list of stops here.

The Institute for Creative Music wanted me to let you know about their IfCM Creative Music Camp. Campers can learn to improvise, compose music, use recording technology, and play different styles together (regardless of instrument or genre). You can get more information and register your child here.

Finally, my appeal for some more of you to follow us on Twitter at @jazzrochester worked. We reached the 10,000 follower mark over the weekend. It's hovering back and forth right now as we just hit it. Thanks!

Below you will find the next seven days of live jazz in and around Rochester below the fold (if there is one). Yes, it's light, but that's to be expected as everyone gears up for XRIJF.  Let me know if something is missing and I'll add it in.
