August beginnings to our local jazz (Live jazz in ROC, July 30-August 5)

keyboard

Get it? Well, anyway, there is some live jazz out there in the heat we're experiencing, including at the Park Ave Arts Festival down the street from where I live. Putting up the Don't Park Here/Park Here signs for my street tomorrow evening, in fact.

Help me get the word out about Jazz@Rochester. Let those you know who love hearing live jazz in and around Rochester about the site and join us here or on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. If you prefer, sign up to get the posts via email by clicking on the image of the site coming out of the envelope in the middle column. You will not get spammed (I'm lucky to get one out a week ... this one!)

After the "fold" (click the link if there is one for you) you will find the next seven days of live jazz in and around Rochester. Let me know if I missed anything.  Check back later in the week for stragglers.

Summertime in Rochester and live jazz is running hot and cool (Live jazz in ROC, July 16-22)

I know there is more out there, but this time of year it's hard to keep track.

The dog days of summer? (Live jazz in ROC, July 9-15)

I suspect that a lot of live jazz gigs around Rochester  in the next week are at festivals in the area or beyond (other than the Corn Hill fest here in Rochester, which I've included), or private gigs.  As always, if you know of something I've missed, drop me a line (click on the Contact Us button above).

The XRIJF folks are hoping you'll take their survey about this year's festival before they close it this Friday. I hear from those who have that one question is about whether you'd still get a Club Pass if Kilbourn Hall concerts were separately ticketed events. You may want to weigh in on that....

Please clue those you know love live jazz to check out the site and join us here or on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram

Back to your regular programming ... live jazz throughout the year in ROC (July 2-8)

Now that we've reached the first Wednesday after the Rochester International Jazz Festival is done, it's back to your regular programming here on Jazz@Rochester.  If you want to check out my posts from the festival, click on the Category XRIJF 2015 in the middle column.

I'll head over to Havana Moe's (like every afternoon during XRIJF, as the image to the right attests) to try to write a wrap up post sometime soon with my thoughts on this year's festival, but feel free to talk about it in the comments or on Twitter or Facebook.

Please clue those you know love jazz to check out the site and join us here.

We're kind of light this week, which is not unusual after the end of the XRIJF.  A lot of private gigs going on amongst our working musicians as well.

After the "fold" (if there is one) you will find the next seven days of live jazz in and around Rochester. Let me know if something is missing and I'll add it in. Check back later in the week.
