On New Year's Eve (and in 2016) there will be ... live jazz in ROC, December 31st-January 6th

party

Happy New Year!  So what will you be doing when the ball drops tomorrow?  I'll be enjoying my buds in Paradigm Shift at Havana Moe's on East (seems like a patter developing....). Below you'll find the (small amount of) live jazz in and around Rochester that I was able to find. There is probably more that isn't listed, so let me in on the secret if you know of one that is not below. Like all holidays, you should check with the venue for those listings below that repeat each week to make sure they're actually happening, especially on New Years Eve.

Remember that you have until midnight on NYE to buy a Club Pass for the 2016 Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival.  Get them here.

Please give us some love and help get the word out about Jazz@Rochester! Do you know someone who loves going out to hear live jazz? Share this site and suggest they join us here, or on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. If they prefer, they can sign up to get our posts via email by clicking on the image in the middle column.

After the "fold" (click the link if there is one for you) you will find the next seven days of live jazz in and around Rochester. Let me know if any regular gigs below are no longer happening. Check back later in the week for stragglers.

It's the holidays, so there is not so much ... live jazz in ROC, December 24-30

Yule Be Boppin cover

We start the listings on Christmas Eve, so yes, Virginia, jazz musicians have families, too (plus there's a lot of private parties around), so there's not so much live jazz in and around Rochester over the next seven days.  Hope, however, that "Yule Be Boppin" anyway.  Like all holidays, you should check those listings below that repeat each week to make sure they're actually happening. For the most part, you'll find links to many of the venues in the right panel. Happy Holidays from Jazz@Rochester!

Leading up to your cool Yule ... live jazz in ROC, December 17-23

Andy's Jazz Club sign

As we wind down December into the Christmas holiday, it is not unexpected that the pickings will be somewhat light. However, I've found a few things here and there.... Like time around any holiday, it is probably a good idea to check those that repeat to see if the gig is actually on.
