As we get ready to leap into March there is ... Live jazz in Rochester, February 25th to March 2nd

jazz club signYes, it's a leap year and how do we know?  Harold Danko has his quadrennial Leap Year concert.  It's always a lot of fun and is on Monday, of course. Also recommend you come out to Lovin Cup on Sunday to catch the Ethnic Arts Ensemble. I'm so there...  There's some new stuff added to the Heads Up this week to check out, too.

If you want to get these listings posts (and other posts I do occasionally) in your email, hit the image of Jazz@Rochester coming out of an envelope (yes, that's what it's supposed to be ... not my best effort....) in the middle column and follow the directions.  I won't spam you or share your email with anyone. Or, you can check out the other ways to connect with Jazz@Rochester by clicking on the icons above that image.

After the "fold" (click the link if there is one for you) you will find the next seven days of live jazz in and around Rochester. As always, let me know if any regular gigs below are no longer happening or if you have heard of anything that's not in the listings. Check back later in the week for stragglers.

After you dig out of the snow in ROC, there is still some ... live jazz in Rochester, February 18-24

Andy's jazz club sign

I managed to miss the big snow (much to my wife's consternation, who had to dig out), but heading back to town now from the relative warmth of Wichita, Kansas. Some extra time in O'Hare, so banging out a post.  While it is pretty light (and has been for awhile), you can find some live jazz out there.

In Kansas for my father's 80th birthday, but wanted to let you all know about what's up in live jazz in and around Rochester.

Can't talk about the cold, it's over 50 degrees outside! But there is still ... jazz in Rochester, February 4-10

Some buzz around the new Pythodd Jazz Room in Charlotte (I hope to get out there, but it's looking doubtful before a trip to visit my father next week). XRIJF just announced that there would be a new venue at Anthology at 336 East Avenue and that they'd be releasing the full listings for the 15th Annual Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival on March 22nd (at the aforementioned Anthology venue, by the way). Your trusty blogger will be there.
