As you know, for me 2016 hasn't been the best year.  I'm looking forward to 2017 and here it comes.  As this is a holiday, please take some of the listings below with a grain of salt. Call the venue first to make sure.  I'm sure there's some jazz out there at various New Years Eve parties, but have listed the ones I'm aware of. 

Listen on January 3d (starting early, like 6:00 am) to our local jazz radio spot, Jazz90.1, as they bring you the Top 40 CD’s from the Top 100 of 2016, as voted on by their staff and volunteers.  Also, check out their lineup changes for 2017.

Would you like to see more of a community around live jazz here in Rochester?  I'm trying to build one here. If so, I'd love it if you'd share this site with friends and family who are similarly inclined. They can find out all the ways you can get you some JazzRochester goodness by checking my post laying it out for you.  As always, let me know if any gigs below are no longer happening, if I got something wrong wrong, or if you have heard of something that's not in these listings so I can add it.
