This year's Fairport Canal Days is coming up Friday-Sunday, June 1-3. FCD prides itself as being the "jazz festival before the jazz festival," with the vast majority of its music during the three day event being local jazz musicians on 4 stages spread across Fairport's downtown area near the canal.  When the weather cooperates it's a great place to hear them. 

According to the website, this year the music lineup has a broader spectrum, including bluegrass, barbershop quartet, and an extraordinary elementary school jazz band.  You can get the music schedule for Canal Days here (and here for Canal Nights on Saturday).
