Although there is a lot of cold and snow before the music starts to flow, you can get ready for the RIJF soon.  Club Passes go on sale at 10:00 am on Friday, October 25th, for the 2020 CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival.  How to buy, and more info about the 2020 festival, including the return of The Little and the former Xerox Auditorium, can be found here.

Wanted to tell you about a couple of new venues just coming online that, we hope, will be regularly presenting jazz.  First is one you may be familiar with Stromboli's on East Ave.  With a proximity to  students from the Eastman School of Music and regular appearances by Bill Tiberio and his band, this venue is trying on a more regular thing.  Thursdays will likely jazz from students at ESM and then Sunday Night Live will present music from various genres.  Another entry is food truck, now brick and mortar place, KOCINA Stingray SushiFusion, which will be presenting occasional ticketed concerts for a select number of fans at their space at 1921 South Avenue (starting with the Brazilian sounds of the Bossa Nova Bradley Brothers, on the 19th of October).  Here's their website for more info, but call for more info on the event and $10 tickets (yes, they want to pay the artists with something other than food).
