As we get into the holiday season, things slow down jazz-wise around here. As we get less light, the opportunities for hearing live jazz are also light. A lot more private gigs for the musicians, fewer opportunities at venues, etc.  Or at least that's how it seems now.  Despite asking, I have not received any notice from artists or venues for gigs in January.  Those should start to filter in soon . . . I hope.  Nonetheless, it's the holiday season and I hope you and yours are fully engaged in merriment, with jazz or not.

It's November 1st and I'm looking at snow falling outside my window as I write this, so I guess it's here... Not happy about that, but I live in Rochester and that just means the jazz moves inside.
